Project:  Einstein Papers Project: Coping With Fame

Background:  This project is designed to examine the family corresponce of Albert Einstein in the years after he received the Nobel Prize in Physics. It focuses on his sons' and other family members' response to Eistein''s growing fame and visibility.
Description:  The project involves research into the vast correspondence and writings of Einstein, his family, and friends for the period 1921 to 1932.

Contains all the volumes of The Collected Papers of Albert Einstein published to date, 1879-1925.
Student Requirements:  A solid background in humanities, especially 20th century history, psychology, literature combined with a good reading knowledge of German is required. Previous experience with work in archives highly desirable.
