Project:  Computation tools for image analysis for spatial genomics in brains and embryos.

Background:  Our lab has developed a single cell assay called seqFISH using single molecule microscopy to profile the overall state of the cells. The recent papers include applying seqFISH to mouse brains, embryonic stem cells, and embryos.
Description:  SURF students can participate in any of the following projects.

1. Design computational tools to analyze images.
2. Use bioinformatics tools to design oligonucleotide probes.
3. Design an easy to use interface to display and analyze single cell genomics image data.
Student Requirements:  Computer science and bioinformatics. Image analysis and machine learning courses are recommended.
Programs:  This AO can be done under the following programs:
