Project:  Extreme Environment Instrument Electronics

Background:  This call is for developing electronics for next generation Extreme Environment systems for flight instruments. Electronics used in the space based instruments require very low noise and wide frequency. At the same time these electronics need to operate over a very wide temperature range. This opportunity looks for identifying or developing electronics that can meet the noise/power and frequency requirements for NASA's next generation space mobility systems instruments.
Description:  The project will involve identifying components, acquiring components and performing experimental and simulation evaluation of the performance of electronics for new instrument systems. Identifying emerging new replacement electronic components and comparing their performance with the performance of existing electronics. Also evaluating the potentials for custom made electronic solutions using low noise fabrication technologies.

Student Requirements:  Students interested in Electrical Engineering with at least a circuits course/background.
