Each AO indicates whether or not it is open to non-Caltech students. If an AO is NOT open to non-Caltech students, please DO NOT contact the mentor.

Project:  Research in laser ranging and synthetic tracking
Disciplines:  Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, optical engineering

Background:  The research will involve technology development efforts towards high power laser ranging for lunar science and satellite tracking.
Description:  The student will use lab computer and custom software to control optical instruments and diagnostic tools. This involves SW programming, performing measurements and analysis of data.
Student Requirements:  Candidate who have background/skills in the areas of electrical engineering/computer science/physics/optical engineering are encouraged to apply.
