Background: |
NOTE: This project is being offered by a Caltech alum and is open only to Caltech students. The project will be conducted at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California.
We have a variety of multimodal imaging techniques applied to both Alzheimer’s disease and mild traumatic brain injury, looking at both human imaging and post-mortem brain tissues.
|
Description: |
One project would be using a new technique called computation light scattering to assess histology slides. Another would be segmenting microstructural images of myelin using X-ray tomography. Another would be assisting in image processing/segmentation of MRI and PET datasets in AD and MRI datasets in mild traumatic brain injury. MRI processing includes rsfMRI, QSM, ASL, DTI, etc. PET includes Tau tracers.
