Students pursuing opportunities at JPL must be U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents.
Each AO indicates whether or not it is open to non-Caltech students. If an AO is NOT open to non-Caltech students, please DO NOT contact the mentor.

|Project:||Einstein Papers Project: Coping With Fame|

|Background:||This project is designed to examine the family corresponce of Albert Einstein in the years after he received the Nobel Prize in Physics. It focuses on his sons' and other family members' response to Eistein''s growing fame and visibility.|
|Description:||The project involves research into the vast correspondence and writings of Einstein, his family, and friends for the period 1921 to 1932.|
Digital Einstein Papers http://einsteinpapers.press.princeton.edu/
Contains all the volumes of The Collected Papers of Albert Einstein published to date, 1879-1925.
|Student Requirements:||A solid background in humanities, especially 20th century history, psychology, literature combined with a good reading knowledge of German is required. Previous experience with work in archives highly desirable.|
