Each AO indicates whether or not it is open to non-Caltech students. If an AO is NOT open to non-Caltech students, please DO NOT contact the mentor.

Project:  Euclid
Disciplines:  Mechanical Engineering, Physics, packaging and/or materials

Background:  Euclid is an ESA managed mission to perform a large scale survey of galaxies for cosmology. The Euclid telescope includes a visible and infrared spectro-photometer and will be launch into deep space. JPL/NASA is partnering with ESA to provide the infrared detectors, cryogenic electronics and cryogenic flex cables for infrared instrument.
Description:  The student will participate in testing, data collection and paper research as part of the qualification of the cryogenic electronics.
Student Requirements:  Required background is in aerospace or mechanical engineering. Desired backgrounds include cryogenic engineering, materials engineering and/or applied physics
